On 11/25/14, exactly one year ago, I had a total hip replacement. It was the 2nd surgery on my right hip since I had fractured it on August 31, 2014. I have fully recovered and can not be more thankful that I can walk, run, bend and do all the things that I could do before the accident.

On October 15, last year, Mrs. Jim fell (through a wooden fence she was climbing through) and broke her hip. She had a partial hip replacement which meant that they replaced the lower part like they did yours, with the ball, but left the upper part intact.
Are you sure that you can run?
Mrs. Jim is not supposed to. But then, I suppose she is a lot older than you. Also, her doctor did not schedule any follow-up appointments. I think she will go to her foot doctor for that or to my orthopedic (lots of fixes there).

My mom had one and also recovered completely. It's amazing what they can do with joint replacement! Glad yours worked out so well.

This was a perfect time for me to read this.
I spent yesterday at the hospital with my aging parents while my Mom went through this exact same surgery.
It truly warmed my heart to read of this wonderful result to your own surgery.
